Sunday, October 18 was a day of fun in the sun at the 2009 Kid Expo held at Golden Valley High School.  Parents, families and friends enjoyed performances by the Canyon Theatre Guild, D.E.E. Studio Productions, Fun & Fit Gymnastics, ELITE Dance Studios and Vibe Performing Arts.

A Wine Affair To Remember

On September 27, the Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley hosted the Wine Affair: Sip, Stroll & Savor the Sounds event to raise funds to support the Sheila R. Veloz Imaging Center for Breast Cancer Awareness.  Event goers took a stroll down Town Center Drive and enjoyed fabulous food served up from local restaurants as well as tasted a sampling of the many sumptuous wines.  The magic of music filled the air as ten local bands entertained audiences, all to support a worthy cause. The event was sponsored by Secure Horizons.

On Saturday, April 18, twelve professional dancers paired up with Santa Clarita’s best and danced the night away in front of a sold out crowd at the first Dancing With Our Stars event. 

An Out of This World Event The 2009 Celebrity Waiter Dinner

The stars were out at this year’s Celebrity Waiter Dinner “InterGALActic Affair”, held on Saturday, February 21 at the Hyatt Valencia.  Over 300 guests came dressed to impress as they enjoyed a fun-filled evening of dining, entertainment and humor.  Celebrity waiters served up some out of this world fun as they competed for top waiter, all to help benefit the Adult Day Care Respite Program at the SCV Senior Center.

An Evening of Romance at the “Have a Heart” Sweetheart Gala

Love was in the air at this year’s “Have a Heart” Sweetheart Gala which took place at the Valencia Hyatt’s Grand Ballroom on February 13.  Over 150 guests enjoyed a lavish three-course meal and were entertained with the sweet tunes of the band Crush.
