Sat., March 8, 7 p.m. — Cruising Around the World with Captain Stubing.
Join in for this year’s Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley’s 33rd annual fund raising event for an amazing evening of fun and entertainment. There will also be an opportunity for VIP guests to participate in a Bridge visit and photo session with the Captain. The ship will board at 5 p.m. and guests will be greeted with a glass of champagne and a hosted Captain’s Reception. Guests will have the opportunity to “tour” the “ship”, visit ports of call and participate in an opportunity drawing, then it’s “Bon Voyage.” The ship is then scheduled to embark on its cruise around the world that will include entertainment produced by the SCV Theatre Project, dinner and live auction.

Fri., March 14, 8 p.m. — Vienna Choir Boys. Back for the repeat appearance! The Vienna Choir Boys were part of the Performing Arts Center’s opening season, playing host to a sold-out crowd in 2005, and now return by popular demand. The Austrian singing group was founded by royal decree in 1498 and from its inception has attracted the finest singers and composers. The choir’s repertoire includes everything from medieval to contemporary to experimental music, including operas and world music. In 2002, the choir recorded a pop CD that included songs by Celine Dion, Madonna and Robbie Williams and over the years has contributed to a number of film soundtracks, proving their sound is as important now as it was 500 years ago. 661-362-5304
